MY TICKET WAS PURCHASED FROM A TRAVEL AGENT. CAN I CHANGE MY ITINERARY ON SAMOAAIRWAYS.COM?

Only tickets purchased on samoaairways.com or from a local Samoa Airways office can be changed online and as long as you’ve purchased a fare that allows changes to your flights and changes are made within the allowable time-frames as set out in the terms and conditions of your purchased fare. To change the itinerary for a ticket you’ve purchased from your travel agent, get in touch with them directly.


AM I ELIGIBLE FOR ONLINE/MOBILE CHECK-IN?

You must check in to board the flight at our check-in facility serving the place of departure. You will be advised of the check-in time for your flights in your Itinerary and/or by your Authorised Agent.

WHAT TIME DOES CHECK-IN OPEN?

For flights between Samoa and American Samoa, check-in opens 2 hours prior to the scheduled departure times. Unless otherwise stated in your Itinerary, you must check in for travel at least 60 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time or as otherwise set out in your Itinerary for these services

WHAT IS THE CABIN BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE?

• Adult (12 years & over) 1 Piece at 5 kgs
• Child (2 – 11 years) 1 Piece at 5 kgs
• Infant (under 2 years) Refer Airline

Enhanced security screening measures apply on international flights from and to Samoa with respect to the carriage of liquids, aerosols and gels. If you want to take liquids, aerosols or gels through the screening point, make sure each item is 100ml or less and all items fit comfortably in a transparent re-sealable 1 litre plastic bag. Only one bag per person is allowed.

HOW DO I PURCHASE ADDITIONAL BAGGAGE?

Extra baggage can only be purchased at the airport on the day of departure. Extra baggage may be purchased for adults and children only.
Checked baggage items are subject to the following size and weight limitations – up to 15 kg per bag and total linear dimensions (length + width + height) of 158cm (62″).
Extra baggage may be purchased once check-in opens and is in progress, the pre-paid baggage option is no longer available and you will be required to pay the higher Excess Baggage charges at the Airport on the day of flight departure.
Carriage of any extra baggage is subject to availability and capacity limitations.

WHY DOES SAMOA AIRWAYS CHARGE A FEE FOR BOOKINGS PAID WITH CREDIT CARDS?

When you use a credit/debit card to pay for your flights out of certain countries, Samoa Airways incurs costs relating to the acceptance of these cards. You won’t be charged a service fee if you choose to pay with a standard ATM bank cards or cash.

CAN I EARN FREQUENT FLYER POINTS ON SAMOA AIRWAYS FLIGHTS?

Samoa Airways is currently not a member of a frequent flyer programme and points cannot be earned or redeemed on flights.

HOW DO I PREVENT MY TRANSACTION FROM BEING DECLINED?

For a successful transaction with your credit/debit card:
• Ensure that you have sufficient credit or balance
• Ensure that your payment details have been correctly entered
• Ensure that your credit / debit card has not been reported stolen or used for fraudulent activity
• Ensure that the country of the issuing bank does not have currency or credit limitations
• Ensure that e-commerce transactions (including 3D Secure) have been enabled for your credit / debit card

CAN I SELECT MY SEAT IN ADVANCE?

Customers can make seat requests through email enquiries@samoaairways.com. Final seat allocation is subject to operational requirements and will be processed at check-in.
